  1. Definitely, fixing the database is the first priority though
  2. My concern with punishing rapid growth is in that it would also affect smaller and newer airlines, which is something I don't want since I don't want the game to be slow to begin.
  3. Perhaps it's something I'll have to look at however due to the difficulty that would be involved in updating the database en masse I think it's easier to just do small corrections when errors are spotted.
  4. It was read in as a CSV, any errors in the DB ought to have originated from there I would think.
  5. That is actually the source for the airports in game
  6. I'm happy to announce that @KJS607 has been appointed as the new Data Manager. He has been helping me recently to correct some of the errors in the database that will be appearing in game soon.
  7. As promised I'm releasing the 0.1.3 update today. Unfortunately I didnt have time to implement all of the bug fixes I wanted to, and as such these have been pushed back to 0.1.4. Also, as I mentioned earlier I will now shift my focus to working on 0.2, as such no new features or improvements will be released until then (bug fixes will continue to be released) AirSimWorld 0.1.3 Alpha NEW: My Flights page now attempts to group by airport (if you operate SEA-JFK and SEA-SFO it will try to make sure SEA is the destination airport rather than having one flight be SEA-JFK and other being SFO-SEA) (#49) NEW: Total weekly revenue in My Flights page (#42) NEW: Weekly Profit shown in My Aircraft page NEW: My Aircraft Page Pagination/Sorting NEW: Better aircraft selecting interface when adding flights NEW: Aircraft which are unable to make the flight are no longer shown in the New Flight screen NEW: Route Marketshare chart on route page NEW: Aircraft delivery date shown on pending deliveries page FIXED: Correct local time shown on return flights (#65) FIXED: Aircraft delivery time per model not per airline (#62) FIXED: Used aircraft flights removed when sold (#61) FIXED: Used Aircraft seller doesnt get paid (#60) FIXED: Cancel Order now working (#58)
  8. On-time reputation is coming in 0.2. Jetways vs stairs might be harder to implement but is definitely something that I'm looking to do at a future time. Although I'm not willing to consider disaster mechanics (too much of a can of worms), personnel options are something I'll look to adding in the future.
  9. One thing that has become clear to me is that the game becomes too easy once an airline is able to create enough flights/have enough funds. I want the game to still be challenging no matter how big the airline is (I also dont want the whole game to be focused around creating as many routes as possible and instead want to create a game where smarter routes are rewarded more than the amount). @MDK6778, who runs the bug creator airline the GOAT has suggested unions as one idea that I really like. I will look to implement that in 0.2 at the same time as I introduce payroll management. However I'm not sure if its enough and I would like to get suggestions from y'all as it is a hard balance to strike and I want to hear your input. -Sviri
  10. Alright folks, here is the final of 0.1.2 updates. From this point on, I will have to take a few days break from working on the game due to midterms, but I will try to push out 0.1.3 update later this coming week after which I will start focusing on 0.2 unless major issues arise. Here is the changelog for 0.1.2c: AirSimWorld 0.1.2c Alpha: FIXED: Ability to change/remove new flights in the scheduler FIXED: Scheduler save button gives visual indication when pressed NEW: Ability to select multiple weekdays when creating new flights in the scheduler NEW: Time selector in scheduler now uses a masked input when creating new flight NEW: Airport Page -> Ability to see a map, list of destinations and market share chart of an airport -> Most places where you see an airport listed link to that airports page NEW: Flight prices for other airlines flights are now shown on route research page NEW: Flight schedules for other airlines aircraft are now shown on the aircraft page
  11. Some people have requested a list of aircraft that are currently in game, so I am publishing it here. 12. For sure, this is completely on Boeing. The AOA Disagree ought to have been a standard feature. no questions there. Although the certification process is more on the FAA than Boeing. That kind of regulatory neglect is inexcusable!
  13. Yeah definitely, but I dont think they'll be pulled from production. A similar thing happened to 737 classics with minimal impact.
  14. The MAX's are in as well, please check the configuration page. I dont want you to do research for nothing 😛
  15. All the aircraft except the 731 are in game. You can currently see which aircraft are in game on the create configurations page and I'll also upload it on the forums later. I'll add the 731 though in a bit
  16. Thanks for your suggestions! Costs of inflight services will be shown in 0.1.2c/0.1.3 Stop-over flights/5th freedom flights are planned but wont be implemented for a few versions I dont think This is something that is on the back of my mind (the database has all the attributes to support cargo ops), but the programming and research required are definitely prohibitive for the moment. Something for the future for sure though. Marketing I'll work on implementing for 0.2 (that update is going to add airlne-wide reputation and airline exposure, in the current reputation only the route reputation matters).
  17. Yeah, thats what I did for now. Eventually I'll need someone to go through the data to correct it and adjust prices for inflation (since there is no inflation in game, all the plane prices are super cheap in the 70s/80s). There are a lot of errors in the db right now.
  18. The scheduler was originally a drag and drop interface but it was far too glitchy and un-reliable to release, which is why it was replaced by what is in the game today. It's something I might revisit at some point later but for now I am focused on making the current scheduler better. That said, I will look to add some sort of mass scheduling functionality (schedule x flights back to back button) either in 0.1.2b or 0.2
  19. I am releasing the first part of the bug updates early due to some very important fixes to game breaking bugs as well as some improvements: AirSimWorld 0.1.2a: Improvements: - Add local times to the scheduler Bug Fixes: - IFS Configs 'Field cannot be left blank' (bug # 40) - Scheduler unable to save after saving once (bug # 36) - Some flights have cant add passengers (bug # 35)
  20. Yeah, there is a bug whereby once you save one flight you have to fully exit out of the scheduler and re-open it or else it will freeze when you try to save. This will be fixed in the next update either today or tomorrow
  21. The reason why its not automatic is to allow you a lot of flexibility for banking your hubs and stuff like that, plus departure time effects your reputation (pax really dont like flights that leave between 1 and 5 AM lt for instance). I do plan on adding changes to make it easier to schedule your aircraft since it is a little bit tedious atm. Currently I am planning on adding an ability to copy your schedule on one day to other days which should help. That is coming in the next bug update in the next couple of days. Can you elaborate? Does it give you an error or does it freeze? If you're adding a lot of flights it might take a couple of seconds (I plan to add a visual cue in the bug update). However I did also find a bug whereby after you save a flight you have to exit out of the scheduler and re-enter it before scheduling your other flights. So hypothetically if you added one flight, and then went on to add your others without first re-entering the scheduler it wont work. The fix for that is also coming in the bug update.
  22. Hey y'all! I have started a Discord server that I'll be on if you want to chat. Join here: https://discord.gg/JCrcgG
  23. At last! I am releasing the initial release. Please keep in mind that this is an initial release, this is also the first time its being tested by more than just me so there are no guarantees that the program will behave nicely when scaled up. Either way, you should now have the 'My Airlines' tab available at the top if you're logged in. This is the details about the world: PLEASE REPORT ALL BUGS TO THE ISSUE TRACKER, I CANT MAKE THIS GAME BETTER WITHOUT YOUR SUPPORT! Also, the game will have bugs, its an early Alpha release World A: Time-frame: January 1970-January-2020 Speed: 30 Minute days first IRL week, 20 minute days afterwards Starting cash: $50,000,000 (loans/leases not yet implemented, but are slated for 0.2) Also, unfortunately the person whom I hired to do the database entry kind of screwed up on a lot of the information, so feel free to submit corrections or new aircraft models here: Much Appreciated! Enjoy!
  24. While you're waiting, I've made this awful tutorial that I wont be using, but might as well post here. Excuse the mic quality, I had to use a lot of audacity to get rid of noise.
