a US example Could be state governments such as say Wyoming or South Dakota trying to attract service or Federal For service to DC and or State Capitols or military necesity

Simply if there is a low demand and or no aircraft flying the routes some governments would subsidize the route for a certain price for airlines to take interest. Not saying make or break but could expand some of the smaller airports and encourage smaller routes serviced by regional and or one or two flights a week

I Know connecting flights aren’t implemented yet due to the processing power it takes to calculate. However I did notice some popular vacation Destinations especially in North America are very low in demand averaging maybe 1000 people an example of this can be seen with LAX-HNL, MIA-CUN, MIA-KIN I’d Just Suggesting increasing some of those numbers whether it be directly or “seasons” like during the summer months demand increases

Gate Slots in some of the major airports in-game are an airline killer for costs I know for example Chicago O'Hare is charging my airline which I'm probably going to restart and "declare Bankrupt" 92 million weekly because of the high demand. I noticed that one airline whose owner hasn't been active since June Holds a large number of leased gates but his airline is in the red could there possibly be a Default option on Leased gates and open the leased gates into foreclosure meaning open for leasing to a new airline if one is negative and or holds a supermajority on the gates that skyrockets the gate slot costs. Especially if that airline hasn't been active in months
